Secret Love Letter

I really like this stone.  It's called Chinese Writing Stone.  I even have two pairs of earrings made from this picturesque stone.  I wanted the base to stand out so I used some plain Muhly Grass that I grow and harvest and then added some Picture Jasper beads and wrappings of black waxed linen thread on either side. This is one of the patterns that take a lot of time.  The side pendants are similar Jasper, but Artistic Jasper.

Honey and Cream

This basket began with a small slab of Honey Comb Calcite.  The golden stone is translucent and has some light that passes through.  The Florida Long Leaf pine needles and accented with some Honey Jasper beads.  The Muhly Grass that I grow and harvest is the coiled lighter material.  The larger pendants are Honey Jade.

Surfing Shrimp

This base is a nice specimen of shrimp fossilized in some interesting two toned bedrock. Since the fossil is positioned just so, I decided to orient the basket so the shrimp appears swimming free.  A few Long Leaf pine needles, then coiled Muhly Grass finish the sides.  The beads are Honey Jade.
